Best Items to Counter Wraith

Buy for the threat you are facing. These are situational options, not a build to purchase in full. Tap an item for its breakdown.

Matchup Overview & Game Plan

Use movement and vertical routes against cards, and keep cover or an escape available for Telekinesis. Force cards or mobility before committing your own burst. Choose a weapon-defense answer for sustained gun pressure, while proactive control protection addresses the ultimate setup.

Unstoppable is generally the more reliable ultimate answer, Plated Armor slows her on-hit/card buildup, and Disarming Hex or Metal Skin directly attacks the gun damage.

Laning Phase

  • Keep moving and use verticality to make card angles less predictable.
  • Stay near useful cover before Telekinesis so the follow-up cannot keep a clean damage angle.
  • Force cards or mobility before your own decisive burst.
  • Prepare the immunity or defensive timing you can use reliably; Telekinesis is not removable with Dispel Magic.

Most Common Problems vs Wraith

Identify what is losing the exchange, then use the answer and timing below.

Wraith Telekinesis is starting a kill combo

Unstoppable

What to do: Prepare Unstoppable for Telekinesis and activate it before control prevents the response, then leave the follow-up angle.

Why it helps: Telekinesis is an ultimate effect that Dispel Magic does not remove, and proactive immunity avoids relying on a narrow reaction window.

Card and weapon buildup are snowballing every trade

Plated Armor

What to do: Build Plated Armor when repeated weapon on-hit buildup is driving the trade.

Why it helps: Its chances to deflect bullets and prevent on-hit application can slow the pressure that supplies Wraith’s repeated weapon and card value.

Her gun is the problem more than the ultimate

Disarming Hex

What to do: Disarm her during the burst window or use Metal Skin if you need personal survival.

Why it helps: Counter the actual damage source instead of spending every slot on the lift.

Wraith fire rate and card pressure are taking over the lane early

Rusted Barrel

What to do: Buy Rusted Barrel as an early pressure answer.

Why it helps: Slowing her fire rate reduces how quickly she builds weapon and card value and can stabilize the lane before you need a more expensive bullet-defense item.

Gameplay Counterplay

  • Keep moving and use verticality so card angles are less predictable instead of standing still in a clean mid-range duel.
  • When Telekinesis is available, stay near cover or an escape route so the lift does not automatically lead into the full follow-up.
  • Force her to spend cards or mobility before committing your own burst.

Mistakes to Avoid Against Wraith

Buying Dispel Magic specifically to remove Telekinesis

Telekinesis is not removable this way. Prepare proactive control protection and an escape route for that threat.

Committing burst before her movement is forced

Create a more vulnerable window first so your damage is not spent into an easy reposition.
