How to use Guardian Ward
Who should buy it
Support players and teammates with a safe angle to protect the threatened player, or heroes needing a manual self-protection window.
When to use it
Barrier before the main damage; use speed to reach cover when movement is available. The ally-cast cooldown is halved.
Watch out
No cleanse, control immunity, pull or channel interruption. Speed does not free a stunned or immobilized target. The ally must be targetable and within usable cast range.
When to buy Guardian Ward
Upgrade Grit when ally protection or movement changes the next fight. The sample supports all stages, most often mid game. A late purchase remains possible, but compare a stronger save when a small barrier no longer suffices.
What it does: Vitality · Tier 2 · Active · 1,600 souls total. +8% ability range and +1.5 non-combat regen; 250 barrier and +2.75 m/s movement for 6 seconds; 40 m cast range; 60-second self-cast cooldown, halved on allies. Upgrades from Grit to Divine Barrier.
Game-stage ranges are approximate, and average purchase times are a guide rather than a deadline. Buy sooner when this item would change your next fight.
