The Soul Urn can turn a quiet lane into a full-team escort mission. It's tempting to grab it and run like you've stolen something valuable—because, well, you have. But the best Urn deliveries usually start before anyone picks it up.
Quick answer: The Soul Urn first appears at 10:00 and then on the five-minute cycle under the current rules. Pick it up at the marked side of the map, carry it to the opposite delivery point, and secure the released soul orbs. Push waves and protect the route before committing.

How to deliver the Soul Urn safely
If every nearby lane is pushed toward your base, the enemy has time to collapse on your runner. Clear a useful wave first so opponents must choose between contesting the Urn and losing map pressure.
Choose a player who can travel through the planned route and survive if the enemy gets a first shot. Don't automatically hand it to the lowest-health player or the person who shouts “I'll take it” first. The team should agree on who covers the runner.
Look at the minimap before committing to narrow routes or an exposed delivery area. The Urn's path is not just distance; it's a series of places where the enemy can force a fight.
Delivery releases soul orbs that can be secured or denied. Don't assume touching the destination guarantees that every reward is safely yours. Protect the completion and help confirm the orbs.
Can you fight while carrying the Urn?
Yes. Unlike some older versions, the current carrier can use weapons and abilities. The important restriction is that the carrier cannot parry, so a melee catch is much more threatening. Stuns and certain forced movements can also interrupt a delivery by making the runner drop it.
If you're the carrier, do not turn a delivery into a duel just because you can shoot. Your objective is getting the Urn home, not farming another highlight clip.

What rewards do you get?
A successful delivery provides a soul bounty and permanent benefits for the runner. The exact payout depends on game time and applicable comeback mechanics. Because the bounty can decay if the Urn is held too long, endless detours aren't necessarily free value.
The safest team often benefits more than the flashiest runner: escorting the Urn, securing orbs and then translating that advantage into another objective.
When should you contest the enemy Urn?
Contest when you can reach the route with teammates, control an approach, or force the carrier to abandon the delivery. If all your lanes are collapsing and half your team is dead, a desperate solo chase can cost more than the objective itself.
Try to identify where the carrier must travel, not just where they are now. Enemy escorts will often watch the direct route. A coordinated cut-off from a nearby lane is usually more useful than following them in a straight line.
Common mistakes
- Picking up the Urn without pushing or checking the map first.
- Assuming the carrier is unable to shoot or cast abilities.
- Forgetting that parry is unavailable while carrying.
- Leaving the delivery area before the reward orbs are secured.
- Treating an Urn delivery as the trigger for Unstable Rift.
